Interim Knowledge Management Consultant

The Role

An Interim Knowledge Management Consultant is required by a world-class organisation in the sales/customer service industry. This organisation has grown significantly both organically and through acquisition in recent years, with many of its operating companies working in an independent manner. It has been recognised that many of these companies have a similar service offering, and as such, there is much duplication across these organisations in terms of process, IT and back office operations. It is also key that the sharing of information can enhance the offering to clients, and maximise sales for the group as a whole. An Interim Knowledge Management Consultant is required by this organisation to assess how the organisation might learn from business best practice and share this across the network of organisations. This is not a technical or ICT role, but much more about business process and organisational learning.

It is essential to have experience of assessing and implementing knowledge management frameworks within a service or customer centric organisation which might include organisations such as; telesales, healthcare, recruitment, energy companies (within the sales team) etc. The assignment is due to start in July 2009, is based in Home Counties and is expected to last for 6 months.
